Saxdor 460 GTC – Interior & Deck Upholstery
Product Design Lead (VA-Varuste) for the 460 GTC flagship model. Responsible for adapting Saxdor's interior concept into production-ready upholstery solutions – structural frame design, foam engineering, and fabric pattern development. Also contributed to boat modifications required for optimal fit. Lift Sofa frame co-designed with Harri Kaasalainen (VA-Varuste Finland).

Design collaboration:
Interior design developed in collaboration with Saxdor Yachts, VOM Creations, Meyer Norschau Design, and Alpha Studio. My role covered VA-Varuste's scope: concept finalization with Saxdor, product design for all upholstery items, frame and mechanism engineering, plastic components, foam components, and fabric patterns. Full production drawings and project management from design through production launch.

Saxdor 200 / 200 Sport – Interior & Exterior Solutions
Comprehensive soft goods package developed in collaboration with Saxdor's design team.
Key products include sleeping tent, bow mattresses, 3-person jockey seat, pilot seats, aft sofa, and targa bimini.
With design support from Alicja Woroniecka (VA-Varuste Poland).
My key responsibilities – product design and 3D modeling according to client specifications, and manufacturability: PUR foam mold design, ABS thermoformed frame structures, and upholstery solutions.

Parametric Canopy Design Tool
Software in Testing
Thesis Reporting Phase
Parametric automation tool for boat canopy design – frame systems, canvas design,
and cost calculation. Master of Arts thesis project at Savonia University of Applied Sciences,
developed in collaboration with VA-Varuste. Built with Rhinoceros to replace manual 3D modeling
with an intuitive interface where parameter changes update the model in real-time.
Streamlines the design process, improves material calculation accuracy, and generates
near real-time cost estimates – particularly valuable during seasonal design peaks
in the marine industry. Recognized commercial potential for further development.

Nimbus Pilot Seat
🎯 Unveiled at Boot Düsseldorf 2026
Product design adapting client's seat concept to VA-Varuste production methods. A full-scale 1:1 foam prototype was built using traditional model-making techniques – hand-carved foam sections matching 3D model geometry. This ergonomic model validated seat dimensions and comfort. The prototype was then 3D-scanned and the digital model refined based on real-world feedback. Final deliverables: foam component design and preliminary mold design.

Design Lead (VA-Varuste) for the original 320 GTO launch. Developed pilot seats, bow cushions,
sleeping mattresses, aft deck sofa/sunbed, and canopy solutions. The transformable cockpit seating
converts between dining and sunbathing configurations. Also designed soft deck pattern (freelance).
